Air Mauritius Issues Statement Denying Voluntary Administration Rumors

Air Mauritius firmly denies reports suggesting the airline may enter voluntary administration, a fate it previously experienced in 2020. In a statement released on Thursday, September 19, the airline’s management emphasized that the claims circulating in the media are “false and misleading.”
The statement reassured all partners and stakeholders that “the information contained in this article is incorrect,” underscoring the company’s commitment to transparency.
Furthermore, Air Mauritius projected a positive financial outlook, anticipating favorable results for March 2024.
The airline is also in the process of finalizing its strategic roadmap for 2031, including plans for consistent growth over the next seven years.
Recent speculation regarding a potential return to voluntary administration has caused concern among staff, a situation reportedly fueled by comments from union representatives.
In light of these concerns, the airline expressed its gratitude to its employees, stating, “We also wish to reaffirm our support and appreciation for all our team members for their excellent work, often carried out under challenging conditions.”
