AML Partners with Sir Gaëtan Duval Hotel School to Enhance Service Quality

On September 12, 2024, Airports of Mauritius Co. Ltd (AML) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sir Gaëtan Duval Hotel School to promote the continuous training of airport personnel. This initiative aiming to elevate the quality of services provided by staff at Airports of Mauritius and Airport Terminal Operations Ltd (ATOL), further bolstering the island’s reputation as a favored destination in the Indian Ocean and Africa.

The partnership is strategically focused on enhancing the skills of the teams that interact directly with passengers.

AML recognized the expertise of the Sir Gaëtan Duval Hotel School, which will oversee training programs covering essential topics such as effective communication, professional etiquette, stress management, conflict resolution, and basic foreign language skills.

The goal is to equip airport personnel to meet the growing demands of an international clientele and provide service levels consistent with luxury hospitality standards.

Deovrat Baichoo, the Chief Executive Officer of AML, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration.

The signing ceremony took place at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport, attended by Soodesh Callichurn, the Minister of Labour, Human Resource Development, and Training.

He praised the new collaboration and underscored the importance of continuous training in the government’s strategic approach.

According to Callichurn, this partnership represents a significant step toward achieving excellence in service delivery.
