Vehicle Transfer Regulations: No More Gage Certificate Required Starting 13th Sep

For individuals looking to buy or sell a vehicle, there’s some important news to keep in mind. As of Friday, September 13, the requirement for a gage certificate during private vehicle sales will be eliminated.

This change is set to simplify the process for both buyers and sellers.

Transport Minister Alan Ganoo made the announcement during the launch of a new online service on Tuesday, September 10.

The service, provided by the Registrar General, will be available 24/7, facilitating the seamless transfer of vehicle ownership between private parties.
