New Chief Information & Digital Officer Appointed at SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd
Samir Matabudul, a digital specialist with nearly two decades of international experience, has officially joined SBM Bank (Mauritius) Ltd as the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), effective yesterday. His appointment at SBM Tower signifies a pivotal shift in the bank’s strategy to digitize its services, aligning with the institution’s commitment to hiring professionals with global expertise to help spearhead its growth and development ambitions.
From 2006 to 2024, Matabudul worked at Accenture, where he held the position of director, showcasing a significant career marked by innovation and leadership.
He is an alumnus of Imperial College London, where he completed his higher education. Prior to his new role, Matabudul accumulated extensive experience working in Mauritius, Europe, and Singapore, serving as a project manager and IT consultant for renowned companies across various industries.
