Fire Incident at La Tour Koenig: 7 Students Hospitalized

On Wednesday, September 4, seven students from SSS Frank Richard in La Tour Koenig experienced health issues after inhaling smoke from a nearby vegetation fire. The incident occurred around midday.

Emergency services, including the SAMU, responded promptly to the situation, transporting the affected students to Dr. Jeetoo Hospital for treatment.

Additionally, one teacher required medical attention and was taken to Mediclinic in Petite Rivière. According to reports, the condition of the students is currently stable.

Firefighters from the Coromandel station were dispatched to the scene to extinguish the blaze.

As of now, the cause of the fire remains undetermined.

Authorities are investigating the incident to establish the source of the fire and to ensure the safety of the surrounding community.
