Mouvement Rann Nou Later: Bold Moves in the Coming Days
The Mouvement Rann Nou Later has announced a series of upcoming actions to continue their advocacy efforts. Devarajen Kanaksabee, a representative of the movement, emphasized this commitment during a mobilization meeting held on Saturday, August 31, at the Mauritius Tamil Temple’s Federation. The gathering lasted just over an hour.
One of the main topics discussed was the protest that took place, on August 27, in Côte d’Or, which resulted in multiple confrontations with the police.
This unrest coincided with the government’s distribution of lease contracts to various socio-cultural associations.
Kanaksabee asserted the importance of community engagement, stating, “It is crucial that we address the issues within the Mauritian community.”
He announced that a significant rally is scheduled for September 15. Additionally, he mentioned that further demonstrations will be organized as the movement is seeking to raise awareness and mobilize support for their causes.
