Zouberr Joomaye, Senior advisor in the Office of the Prime Minister, has been appointed as the Chairman of the Board of Jet Prime Ltd., a subsidiary of Airport Holdings Ltd. (AHL). AHL is a government-owned entity, with 51% of its shares held by the state and the remaining 49% owned by the Mauritius Investment Corporation, a subsidiary of the Bank of Mauritius.

In a statement to Défi Plus on Friday, Agust 30, Joomaye emphasized his goal to ensure that Jet Prime operates effectively and maintains synergy with other subsidiaries within the group.

He succeeded Kantabye Babajee, who previously served as the Permanent Secretary in the Office of the Prime Minister and is also a board member of Air Mauritius, Airports of Mauritius, and AHL

Joomaye is already a member of AHL’s board specialized in private jet services and offering luxurious amenities, including a dedicated hangar and a premium passenger lounge.

The company expanded its operations in April 2022 by acquiring the activities and facilities of Yu Lounge, which was previously managed by Nirvan Veerasamy, the former CEO of Air Mauritius.

Ken Arian, the CEO of AHL, previously served as a senior advisor in the Prime Minister’s Office and was overseeing Jet Prime Ltd. until Siven Chellen was appointed as CEO on June 11.
