The Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa is set to host the eighth edition of its Charity Trail on September 21, with the aim of raising funds for three organizations: Mo Zar, EFO, and the Smile Train Association. A portion of the proceeds will go towards medical care, while another segment of the funds raised will help children and young adults pursue their education in Mauritius.

Promising to be a memorable and enjoyable event that combines adventure with generosity, trail enthusiasts and families have until Thursday, August 29, to register at ROAG.org.

The Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa initiated its charity trail in 2017, driven by the desire to support the Ecole Familiale de l’Ouest across various projects.

Building on its success, the hotel has continued this commendable initiative over the years, reaffirming its commitment to the “Travel with Purpose” vision through the empowerment of the local community.

This year’s fundraising efforts will benefit the Ecole Familiale de l’Ouest, Mo’Zar Espace Artistique, and the Smile Train Association, specifically for the Cleft Care Mauritius project.

These NGOs addressed a range of social and health issues, including providing medical care for children and adults with cleft lips and palates, offering music lessons to underprivileged children, and delivering holistic education to youth.

Open to participants of all ages, the Hilton Charity Trail will feature three main events: the Fun Race (5 km), Ti Wolmar (10 km), and Grand Wolmar (21 km). A

ll races will commence at the Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa and continue through the Domaine de Wolmar (Chassé de Maroussem), allowing participants to enjoy the run within this natural reserve.

Having participated in last year’s event, which attracted over 600 runners for a good cause, Jacques Brune, the General Manager of Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, expressed optimism about this year’s turnout.

“We expect around 750 participants for this edition. Committed to community development, Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa aims to support worthy causes through enjoyable activities, and our charity trail is the perfect opportunity to achieve this while fostering a sense of solidarity and camaraderie among all participants, including members of our own team and guests,” he said.
