Salary Relativity: Labour Ministry Releases Remuneration Orders’ New Scales

The Ministry of Labour has officially released the new salary scales for 31 Remuneration Orders, as announced on Thursday, August 22.

In an effort to promote transparency, the ministry has shared copies of the updated documents with Business Mauritius.

The ministry is currently awaiting approval from the State Law Office before the new regulations can be officially published in the government gazette.

It is important to note that the revision of salary scales affects 197,042 employees, which represents 60% of the workforce in the private sector.
