Pravind Jugnauth: PRB Report Set to Take Effect in January 2025

August 20, during the inauguration ceremony of the SAJ Hospital in Flacq, Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth, who is also the leader of the Militant Socialist Movement (MSM), made a significant electoral promise regarding public servants.

“Following the PRB report, it will be applicable by 2026. However, I have very good news to announce.

The report, which is expected to be released at the end of 2025, will be implemented by our government as early as January 2025.

It will have retroactive effects. Every public servant will receive their salary based on the new PRB recommendations.

Additionally, the 13th month’s salary will also be calculated according to the new PRB salary structure, which will include increases based on the PRB recommendations,” he stated during his address.
