The Chinatown Foundation, with an impressive track record of organizing over 500 events in just five years, is set to introduce the Dragon Moon Festival in Mauritius. Scheduled for September 22, from 3 PM to 5 PM at the Trianon Convention Centre, the festival promises a world-class performance featuring no fewer than 500 artists from both Mauritius and abroad.

The Mid-Autumn Festival, commonly referred to as the Moon Festival, is one of the most traditional celebrations, serving as a time for family reunions and festive joy.

Seizing this opportunity, the Chinatown Foundation has gathered artists from diverse backgrounds to celebrate the Dragon Moon Festival with a grand concert.

This event will cater to both young and older audiences, showcasing a 1 hour and 45-minute concert comprising 18 distinct performances.

Attendees can expect a vibrant fusion of cultural displays, including songs, dances, martial arts demonstrations, and a fashion show.

This year, the festival will feature renowned talents such as Chen Shanboa, the Hakka Superstar, and Jianli, a famous opera singer.

Additionally, the Shenzhen Wuzhouxing Performing Art Troupe will participate, representing one of the eight countries involved in the celebration.

Organizers assured that this concert will not only highlight these global stars but will also provide invaluable media exposure for the unique Mauritian culture, showcasing local talents on an international stage.

Jean Paul Lam, the founder of the Chinatown Foundation, expressed the foundation’s mission:

“This is an opportunity to train and inspire the younger generation, allowing them to shine alongside established artists from eight different countries. Join us in celebrating a festival that brings people together for a unique experience, dreaming big to inspire future generations.”
