Ganoo: New Speaker Deal Sealed, Alliance with PMSD Fuzzy

According to Alan Ganoo, leaders of the Morisien Alliance have agreed to appoint Adrien Duval as the new Speaker, replacing Sooroojdev Phokeer.

This decision was made collectively, and not just by the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister first informed the leaders of the decision, and then they discussed it before arriving at a consensus.

Speaking to the press on Thursday, July 18th, at the New Bambous Geoffroy Government School following the launch of the school textbooks and digital program on road safety, Alan Ganoo, leader of the Linite Militan platform, emphasized that this decision was a collective one.

However, Ganoo did not comment on whether there would be an alliance between the MSM (Mauritius Social Movement) and PMSD (Parti Mauricien Social Démocrate) or how many seats would be allocated to members of his party in upcoming legislative elections.
