Small Gas Cylinders Crisis, Seniors Left in a Squeeze
For the past few days, users of the small 6-kilogram blue gas cylinders have been facing a genuine ordeal. Service stations that are normally selling this product are reporting that they are no longer stocking it, and are only offering 12-kilogram cylinders instead.
It is unclear whether the profit margins differed between the two sizes, but the attitude of some service stations is nothing short of appalling.
Furthermore, it is extremely difficult to find someone at the company responsible for distributing the gas to lodge a complaint or obtain information.
It appeared that the company is encouraging consumers to opt for the larger 12-kilogram cylinders and ommiting the fact that elderly people or those suffering from back problems or other posture-related issues are unable to carry these heavy loads.
For these individuals, their only alternative is the smaller cylinder that matches their consumption habits and is more convenient for them.
