Below Rs16,500 Salary Govt Workers Demand Fair Pay

A pressing issue has emerged in the public sector, with unions calling for salary scale adjustments in the upcoming report by the Pay Research Bureau (PRB). The concern is that some public servants are earning salaries below Rs 16,500 per month.
According to Radhakrishna Sadien, President of the Government Services Employees Association, this disparity is a “major distortion” in the distribution of salaries.
Sadien emphasized the need to restore salary relativism in the public service, ensuring that employees are fairly compensated for their work.
To address this issue, a letter was sent to the Prime Minister’s Office and the Pay Research Bureau on Tuesday, July 9th, urging them to take immediate action.
The salary disparity has been causing unrest among public sector employees, who feel that their hard work is not being recognized or rewarded accordingly.
The unions are pushing for a review of the salary scales to ensure that all employees are fairly compensated, regardless of their position or length of service.
