57-Year-Old Pedestrian Struck by Metro Express

A tragic accident occurred this morning in Sadally, Vacoas, where a pedestrian was fatally hit by a Metro Express tram.

Luchmeeparsad Bowaneedin, a resident of Allée-Brillant, was the victim of the incident.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are still unknown, but Metro Express Limited has confirmed that the service has been suspended between Curepipe and Phoenix following the incident.

Passengers are advised to use alternative transportation methods whenever possible.
