Non-Citizens Allowed to Register as General Practitioners

A recent amendment has been made to the Medical Council Act, allowing non-citizens the right to be registered as general practitioners.

They are also permitted to pursue their pre-registration training in the country, provided they hold a medical degree from a Mauritian medical institution.

These details were announced in a statement issued by the Medical Council.
