Early Payday for Civil Servants, 10 Days Ahead of Christmas
The payment of salaries and year-end bonuses for civil servants has been moved forward this year, with payments set for December 15 instead of the usual timeframe closer to Christmas.
Private sector employees, on the other hand, do not have a legal obligation for their salary and bonus payments to coincide.
A retired civil servant suggests that this change may be in place to avoid a rush and give civil servants more time for holiday shopping.
