Over 89,000 Taxpayers in Mauritius Submit Income Tax Returns

As of September 25, 2023, 89,312 taxpayers in Mauritius have already submitted their income tax returns to the Mauritius Revenue Authority (MRA) for the fiscal year 2023-2024.
The tax declaration period began on August 29 and will end on October 16. All employed individuals, including those in the public and private sectors, as well as self-employed individuals and expatriates, are reminded to submit their income declarations by the specified deadline.
The MRA advises taxpayers not to delay in filing and making any necessary payments. For those eligible for refunds, early submission ensures prompt processing.
Additionally, taxpayers should provide accurate banking information. If the declaration indicates a tax owed, electronic payment is mandatory.
