Lacklustre Employment Results: Only 10% Candidates Secure Jobs

In what is being described as a disappointing outcome for the first quarter of the year, a mere 1,238 candidates out of a pool of 13,022 (9.5%) have reportedly managed to secure jobs from a total of 13,108 positions made available through Employment Information Centres.

The figure highlights a significant disparity, with 341 candidates rejecting offers, 2,145 failing to attend interviews, and a staggering 7,963 being disqualified during the final selection process.

The reasons for this underwhelming outcome range from perceived misalignments between job conditions and remuneration to applicants not meeting specific employer criteria.

This situation has raised concerns about the effectiveness of current job market dynamics.
