Arnaud Lagesse’s retirement plans thwarted, rehired as CEO of IBL

Arnaud Lagesse, the CEO of the IBL Group, had reportedly expressed his intention to retire as per his employment contract, effective from June 30, 2023.
However, Defi Media cited a statement released on June 26 as revealing that following discussions with Arnaud Lagesse, the Board determined that “it is in the best interest of the IBL Group for Arnaud Lagesse to be rehired as the CEO of the Group on a fixed-term contract starting from August 1, 2023.”
The IBL Group is said to have been actively pursuing a growth strategy both locally in Mauritius and internationally.
During the transitional period from June 30, 2023, until the commencement of his new contract, the executive team at IBL will ensure the seamless continuity of operations.
