Verdun Bypass (Phase 1) now open, connects Alma and Motorway M3

Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth officially opened the Verdun Bypass (Phase 1), a road project aimed at alleviating traffic congestion in Mauritius.
The bypass, costing approximately Rs 403 million, spans 2.7 km and connects Alma and Motorway M3.
Jugnauth also mentioned upcoming projects, such as the Moka Smart City, and outlined plans for additional road development to address congestion issues.
The Prime Minister added that bicycle lanes would be included in all new road projects, including the Verdun Bypass, as part of the government’s vision to promote cycling and improve public health.
He expressed gratitude to the ENL Group for their collaboration.
