Photo of FSC top guns sparks debate within Financial Services community

A photo circulating on Facebook showing the Chairman, Mr. Mardayah Kona Yerukunondu  and the Chief Executive of the Financial Services Commission (FSC), Dhanesswurnath Thakoor, alongside a Hindu priest has sparked controversy and garnered various comments within the financial services community.

L’Express published comments criticising the “inappropriateness of such an act within the FSC premises”.

The FSC has reportedly confirmed the authenticity of the photo but clarifies that it was not a religious ritual but an attempt to “give a spiritual meaning to the procedure of displaying the photos of the current Chairperson and Chief Executive alongside former FSC top officials.
