Port Louis emerges as 2nd top African city for global citizens in 2023

Port Louis, the capital city of Mauritius, has been recognized as the second top African city for global citizens to relocate to in 2023, according to the Global Global Residence Index’s Global HNWI Index.

The Global Residence Index is an agency specialising in golden visa and citizenship by investment programs. Their annual Global HNWI Index considers 18 distinct indicators to determine the overall desirability of a city for global citizens.

Factors such as ease of travel, climate, cost of living, economic power, English proficiency, and freedom index are included in the ranking process.

Port Louis secured the 79th position globally.
