Mauritius Coast Guard fires over 60 shots at Taiwanese ship

The Mauritius CGS (Coast Guard Ship) Barracuda fired 66 warning shots at a Taiwanese ship FV Ruey Chen Tsai 168 that was trying to escape after illegally finish in Mauritian waters.

According to reports, the vessel had no fishing licence and was illegally flying a Mauritian flag.

The trawler had eighteen crew members on board.

After the shots, the vessel finally followed the instructions of the National Coast Guard and was brought to Port Louis for investigation.
