The Jugnauth couple attends US President's reception

Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth and his wife, Mrs. Kobita Jugnauth, joined a reception hosted by the US president Joe Biden in honour of the world leaders, within the framework of the 77th United Nations General Assembly.

The reception was held at the American Museum of Natural History.

Earlier, Jugnauth participated in the Association of Small Island States (AOSIS) Leaders’ Breakfast.

The session was chaired by the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Mr. Gaston Browne. The discussions focused mainly on the development of a Multidimensional Vulnerability Index (MVI) responding to the specificities of the small island states members of AOSIS.

During the AOSIS session, the Prime Minister met with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Mrs. Jacinda Ardern, with the President of Suriname, Mr. Chandrika Parasad Santokhi and with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Singapore, Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan.
