Dr Anwar Husnoo to be acting PM as from Saturday

Dr. Anwar Husnoo, Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Local Government, Disaster and Risk Management, will be called to be the country’s Acting PM as from this Saturday, September 17.

He is ranked fourth in government hierarchy.

According to media reports, PM Pravind Jugnauth is scheduled to travel to New York to attend the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

DPM Steven Obeegadoo will leave the country this Friday September 16 for the Top Resa Fair in France.

Third in command, VPM Leela Devi Dookun-Luchoomun, Minister of Education is reportedly in Canada and is expected back next week.
