Mauritian insurer MUA Ltd has found a new Group CEO to replace Bertrand Casteres, who resigned in March this year.

The appointment of German insurance specialist and former McKinsey consultant Jörg Weber has been submitted for regulatory approval – he is expected to officially take office on August 16.

Weber has reportedly worked for Allianz in Germany, Belgium, Netherlands and Morocco where he was Director General at ‘Allianz Maroc’.

Bertrand Casteres, who resigned recently, is expected to remain with MUA in a temporary advisory role to ensure the handing over before he leaves the country.
