Mauritian gets top at African Development Bank

Mauritian national Gerard Bussier has been elected as Executive Director of the African Development Bank (ADB).

According to Defi Media, Bussier was a former collaborator of PM Pravind Jugnauth at the time he was Minister of Finance.

It was then that he was promoted Assistant Financial Secretary and is currently the No.2 at the Ministry of Finance.

He was elected at the recent General Assembly in Accra, Ghana, to the represent the Sub-Saharan region on the Board of ADB.
