Mauritius bound passengers stuck at Mumbai Airport, without hotel rooms

Air Mauritius flight MK749 that was due to take off from Mumbai at 02h55 local time on Friday was delayed following a technical problem.

However, the 270 passengers are reportedly faced with a current lack of hotel rooms in Mumbai.

In a statement issued on the same day, Air Mauritius said it is trying its “level best to secure accommodation for its passengers and alternative facilities have been extended to them.”

It added that it will communicate the new departure time from Mumbai as soon as it is finalised.
