Opposition parties in limbo, hoping for Labour Party's nod

Labour Party leader Dr Navin Ramgoolam has stated that he is personally in favour of joining forces with the MMM, PMSD and other parties.

In a statement to l’Express, Ramgoolam said the question will be raised at the party’s next politburo meeting first.

“The opinion of everyone is important before we decide on any electoral arrangement for the upcoming municipal elections.”

The common front bringing together the MMM, PMSD, Nando Bodha’s Ralliement Mauricien and Roshi Bhadhain’s Reform Party is said to have triggered preparations for the elections.
