World Bank preparing new Country Partnership Framework for Mauritius

The World Bank is preparing a new Country Partnership Framework and wants to ensure that the document is in line with the objectives and aspiration of Mauritius.

The World Bank Country Director for Mauritius, Mrs Idah Z. Pswarayi-Riddihough, made the statement on 17 January 2022, following a courtesy call on the Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth.

The World Bank Country Director for Mauritius is on an official visit to Mauritius till 09 February 2022.

Mauritius and the World Bank, she said, share a strong and longstanding relationship which paves the way forward for further collaboration.

Mrs Pswarayi-Riddihough observed that Mauritius is a dynamic country which is doing well in terms of economic development at a time when the global economy is suffering from the COVID-19 pandemic.

The World Bank, she reassured, will continue to support Mauritius on various levels.
