Singapore appoints new envoy to Mauritius

The Government of Singapore has appointed Mr Lim Ming Yan as its next Non-Resident High Commissioner to Mauritius.

Mr Lim Ming Yan is the Chairman of Singapore Business Federation and holds directorships of several listed and private companies including Singapore Press Holdings Limited and Sembcorp Industries. 

He was formerly the President and Group CEO of CapitaLand Limited prior to his retirement in 2018.  

Mr Lim was a recipient of the Singapore Armed Forces Overseas Scholarship in 1982. 

He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Economics (First Class Honours) from the University of Birmingham, UK in 1985, and was later conferred an Honorary Doctorate by the University in 2015.
