Police officers will no longer have access to their workplace as from January 15 if they have not received the third (booster) dose of the anti-COVID-19 vaccine, l’Express newspaper reported.

A circular just disseminated reportedly draws the attention of ‘Divisional Commanders’ that the definition of the term “fully vaccinated” will change as of January 15.

L’Express cited extracts of the circular:

“As from January 15, 2022, no person, including police officers and support staff (civilian) shall have access to specified institutions, places and premises including police premises unless such person is fully vaccinated,” the statement read.

“Your attention is drawn to the new definition “fully vaccinated” which means a person is said to be fully vaccinated with a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.”

The newspaper also cited Police Commissioner Anil Kumar Dip was calling his Divisional Commanders to motivate their troops to get their booster dose and to ensure that all their staff are vaccinated by January 15.

As from January 15, the third dose of anti-COVID vaccine will be mandatory in order to be considered as “fully vaccinated” and have access to certain places, including gyms, restaurants and cinemas and educational institutions.
