Country's international reserves up by Rs6.5billion

The Gross Official International Reserves (GOIR) of the country increased by Rs6.5 billion, from Rs329.6 billion (equivalent to USD7.6billion) as at end-October 2021 to Rs336.1 billion (equivalent to USD7.7billion) as at end-November 2021.

Based on the imports of goods (f.o.b.) and services for the calendar year 2020, the GOIR represented 19.7 months of imports as at end-November 2021, compared to 19.3 months as at end-October 2021 and 16.4 months as at end-November 2020.
