Gunshot fired at SBM branch in Port Louis

A gunshot was fired at SSR Street, Port Louis branch of the State-owned SBM Bank on Friday.

According to Le Mauricien newspaper, the gunshot was accidental.

Two sentry policemen were apparently exchanging the service weapon inside the bank, when the weapon, a revolver, “slipped through their fingers” and a gunshot was accidentally fired.

No one was injured.
