The Russian Embassy announced that the ceremonial transfer took place during a meeting between Ambassador Konstantin Klomovskiy and the Chairman of Mauritius Ex-Services Trust Fund Mr. M.Mangar.

The Russian Ambassador also handed over a huge selection of photos devoted to his country’s participation in WW1 and WW2, digital versions of which were provided to the Embassy by the Victory Museum of Moscow.

The inauguration of the museum exhibition was originally scheduled for 2020, but was postponed several times due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Currently, the ceremony is scheduled for the late December 2021.
