Demand for Rodrigues explodes ahead of festive season

The first flight to Rodrigues island scheduled for November 1 is almost booked and reservations for apartments and hotels are reportedly going up ahead of the festive season.

The island, which will re-open to tourists after months of lockdown and closure of borders, has almost vaccinated 60% of its population against COVID-19.

According to hoteliers in Rodrigues, the tourism sector has already received a significant number of reservations for November and December.
