Jugnauth and Bhadain play 'Tit for Tat'

Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth has filed a Rs50million lawsuit against Reform Party’s Roshi Bhadain.

Jugnauth accuses the lawyer of having have defamed him (over the Angus Road Scandal) during a rally on August 7.

The complaint comes a day after Bhadain and another lawyer Antoine Domingue filed a complaint against Jugnauth for perjury.

Their client, Suren Dayal, triggered a private prosecution against Jugnauth before the District Court of Port-Louis, accusing the PM and leader of the MSM-ruling party of having sworn a false affidavit in court on the expenses incurred during the 2019 general elections.
