China to start producing anti-COVID vaccines in Mauritius?

Chinese Ambassador in Mauritius, Mr Zhu Liying, has told Defi Media that bilateral trade between Mauritius and China have increased significantly since the signature of the Free Trade Agreement between the two countries which took effect on January 1, 2021.

He said that the exchange of goods and other products between China and Mauritius has attained USD 359 million, up by 29%.

He added that Mauritian exports to China increased by 51% over the past six months.

He said that China will continue to supply COVID-19 vaccines to Mauritius adding that the Chinese government could start producing vaccines in Mauritius in the near future.
