Labour Party boss Dr Navin Ramgoolam in ICU

Former PM Navin Ramgoolam was admitted to the Trauma Centre of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) on Thursday for treatment of COVID-19. He was airlifted from Mauritius earlier in the morning.

The flight was operated by an SpiceJet plane which was equipped with emergency medical equipment and medicines including ventilator, oxygen cylinders and a special isolation pod to shift the patient.

Ramgoolam has reportedly been admitted to the ICU for management, according to reports. He is being treated by a team of senior AIIMS doctors.

In a post on Facebook, the Labour Party said Dr Ramgoolam’s condition is stable.

“The population will be kept informed of his health only through official press releases from the Labor Party and the Facebook page of Dr Ramgoolam Gen-Next.”
