Uteem to preside over Public Accounts Committee

The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has been reconstituted and has a new President – Reza Uteem, an MP of the opposition party MMM.  The other members are: Patrick Armance (PMSD), Mahend Gungapersad (PTr) and Deven Nagalingum (MMM).

The announcement was made by National Assembly Speaker Sooroojdev Phokeer, Defi reported.

The PAC was previously chaired by PMSD leader Xavier-Luc Duval. The latter resigned to take up the post of Leader of the Opposition.
