COVID-19 cases soar – hits 350

Over the last 24 hours, 29 new cases of COVID-19 have been recorded. The number of local cases detected in Mauritius since March 5, 2021 rose to 350.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases locally since March 5 is as follows:

• 289 cases recorded (contact tracing and COVID-19 Testing Centers)

• 48 cases recorded in quarantine (negative patients on admission)

• 13 cases recorded following random samples

53 people are considered to be “cured.”
