Dr Avinaash Munohur, the Chairperson of the Sustainable Development Commission of the MMM party, has resigned from the party.

“The reason for this resignation is purely professional,” he explained.

“Like any young person, my priority today is to build my future and my career. Once again, I would like to thank all those who have supported me since I joined active politics.”

He has taken up a job with a French company which does not allow any political engagement.

Avinaash Munohur was a defeated candidate at the 2019 General Elections (Curepipe).

The MMM described the resignation as a “painful” departure.

To RadioPlus, party Secretary General Rajesh Bhagwan said he nonetheless respects Munohur’s decision.
