Demise of Queen Elizabeth II: Book of Condolence opened at British High Com in Mauritius

The British High Commission in Mauritius has opened a Book of Condolence for Mauritian Government officials and VIPs to sign since Saturday morning on appointment, following the demise of Queen Elizabeth II.

The Book will be made available on Monday 12 September for Diplomatic missions from 10am to 2pm.

The Book of Condolence will be open to the public to sign from Tuesday 13 to Friday 16 September between 10am to 1pm.

Buckingham Palace has also opened an online condolence book on www.royal.uk.

Mauritius will observe a day of national mourning on the day of Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

The Mauritian flag would be flown at half-mast on all public buildings from sunrise to sunset on that day. The private sector has been invited to follow suit.
