Govt needs another Rs9.5billion, seeks approval from Parliament

The 2022/2023 Budget will probably be read by Finance Minister Renganaden Padayachy on June 10.

According to media reports, no Private Notice Questions or Parliamentary Questions will be entertained until the Budget.

On Tuesday, parliamentarians will be called to vote for two ‘Supplementary Appropriation Bills’ – for a total amount of Rs9.5billion.

Twelve MPs are expected to intervene during the debates.
