Tiktoker arrested over threat to bomb Mauritius Parliament

Mauritian Tiktoker Raquel Jolicoeur has been arrested for threatening to bomb the country’s Parliament (National Assembly) and the Police Headquarters.

Jolicoeur, said to be popular on the social media platform, was arrested after police searched his house and discovered drugs, a firearm and explosives.

He was slapped with four charges before Port Louis Bail and Remand Court: “Drug trafficking”, “Possession of a firearm”, “Possession of explosives” and “threatening to do an act of terrorism”.
