No holidays for Parliament, Opposition Leader demands amid Covid crisis

Opposition Leader Xavier-Luc Duval has asked that Parliament does not break for holidays (scheduled in a couple of days) due to the health situation.

“The situation is too serious in the country. Parliament should not be closed for vacations. MPs must still be able to participate in debates and ask questions, especially with regards to the prevailing situation in the country,” Duval was cited as telling l’Express.

Since the resumption of parliamentary work on October 26, five Private Notice Questions and several other Private Questions have been asked on COVID-19.
