IBA offices deemed safe after unfounded bomb threat

After the blaze at Caudan Waterfront two weeks ago, the explosion of a gas cylinder at the Emmanuel Anquetil building last week, media reported on a bomb alert at the headquarters of the Independent Broadcasting Authority (IBA) on Tuesday.

The offices of the IBA are situated at Celincourt Tower, Celicourt Antelme Street, next to the Air Mauritius building.

The Special Mobile Force and the Explosive Handling Unit (EHU) rushed to the site, but found no evidence of a credible threat, l’Express newspaper reported.

The building was deemed safe after the unfounded bomb threat prompted evacuations.

Employees were allowed back into the building.
