Chota Moollan, ex-Chairman of the Stock Exchange, passes away

The former Chairman of the Stock Exchange of Mauritius, Mr Adam Sulliman Moollan, also known as Chota Moollan, has died this Thursday at the age of 83.

He had been tested positive for COVID-19 and was reportedly admitted at the ENT hospital since last week.

A Fellow of the Institute of Directors of Mauritius, Chota Moollan was a pioneer and well-sought reference in the financial services in Mauritius.

He had also been the Chairman of the Central Depository and Settlement Co Ltd of Mauritius.

He was a Director on various domestic, global and listed companies.
