Bangladesh HC in Mauritius organises blood drive

The Bangladesh High Commission in Port Louis of Mauritius, in collaboration with National Blood Transfusion of Mauritius, organised a voluntary blood donation event on Sunday on the occasion of Mujib Year and the golden jubilee of the independence of Bangladesh, said a press release.

The National Blood Transfusion of Mauritius collected blood at the UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, Apravasi Ghat, Port Louis.

High Commissioner Rezina Ahmed said the mission would continue such philanthropic work and hoped that the Bangladeshi expatriates would continue their cooperation and support in this regard.

The event was executed maintaining the COVID-19 health protocol and restrictions.

The High Commissioner and other guests donated blood on the occasion and a total of 58 bags of blood were collected.
